NAWA AFTER SCHOOL PROJECT

NAWA After school /Library Project is a program for young girls from disadvantaged homes who live along the Lekki-Ajah axis, Lagos State. It was is set up to provide a holistic educational intervention that successfully increases the intellectual and moral capacity of girls in Ogoyo community and communities along Lekki-Epe expressway leading to an eventual increase in the number of girls continuing to tertiary level education. This is done by teaching them to acquire proper study habits and life skills.
The curriculum of the NAWA After school/Library Project is comprised of the Personalized homework assistance/study time, Guided study , Lessons/Tutorials and Arts/Craft. This program provides girls with access to a library with books in their school curriculum as well as children’s literature. The girls are able to use these books during their study time and take home for further studying. We believe that this program will successfully provide economic relief to families and help girls proceed to institutions of higher learning, leading to an eventual increase in their earning power.
